Our history
Avantus Employee Benefits started back in 2005 as a salary sacrifice specialist, but quickly moved into the wider spectrum of employee benefits, offering a number of innovative and affinity-based products to create really exciting benefits packages. Avantus Employee Benefits has gone from strength to strength and now provides employee benefit packages to over 1,100 clients throughout the UK.
What makes us different
Our platforms provide employees with a flexible package of employee benefits that they actually value, all managed online in an intuitive way. The packages are comprehensive, and in the world of employee benefits, we think they’re exciting too.
And we’re also part of the Avantus Business Solutions group of companies which means we can pass on the advantages of that membership to you. Just get in touch for the details.
Our approach
As your business and employees are unique, our approach is to make sure you are offering the right choice of employee benefits for your team, incorporating your existing benefits and adding those all-important new ones which your employees really want or need.
Senior management team
Philip put the blueprint together for Avantus Employee Benefits (formerly known as Fair Care) at the tail end of 2004, having seen an opportunity to create a service orientated, innovative business to challenge the more traditional providers. The initial focus was on the salary sacrifice market but with the intention to quickly diversify into the wider spectrum of employee benefits.
Fifteen years later, and with over 1,100 clients, the opportunity has become reality.
Philip has a wider brief as Chief Executive of Avantus Employee Benefits’ parent company, Avantus Business Solutions, which is predominantly focused on human capital technology. Philip completed the acquisition of Avantus Systems (fintech software) in 2013 and set up Avantus HR (HR consultancy and technology) in 2014. A further acquisition in 2019, People Solutions, added recruitment technology to the Avantus group capabilities.
Prior to setting up Avantus Employee Benefits, Philip spent 8 years as a director in merchant banking group Close Brothers. Philip is qualified as an accountant (FCCA) and an IFA (DipPFS), but is better known for his creative flair, and his ability to make ideas happen.
